I have chosen to become an officiant and perform ceremonies because I truly enjoy focusing on love and joy, connecting with each couple, and the entire process leading up to the wedding.
My personal background is very diverse. Professionally I am an attorney with a JD from Brooklyn Law School. I have practiced with major firms in NYC such as Milberg Weiss and Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan. Most recently I am serving as an Attorney for the Child in Ulster County, NY. I have two children and have been married for over 20 years. I was involved in mediating divorces and settlements as I am also a certified mediator but then a friend said that I would be much happier uniting people rather than helping them separate and she was right. I am no longer doing divorces and am focusing my energies on weddings and ceremonies. I am so grateful for my mentor, Rev. Jeddah Vailakis, who has lovingly guided me through the process and has referred many weddings to me. She encouraged me to expand and make this my life’s work and I am so thankful for her.
As your officiant I will help you create a loving, joyous and memorable ceremony that will reflect who you are as a couple. I am here to guide you through every step of the process. On the day of the ceremony I will hold the space for you both so you can be fully present for your special day and experience the ceremony as intimate yet open and inclusive of your family and friends.
